Starting on the 25th, the iPhone 4 will be available across China. The 16GB model will cost CNY4,999 ($743). The 32GB one comes in at a hefty $892. It's not cheap, but at least the Chinese will now be able to use iOS 4... for an insane price.

Have you ever wanted to print from your iPad? It'll be possible soon with AirPrint. This is in the beta stage for developers already, but consumers can get it in November. According to the press release, AirPrint has "no set up, no configuration, no printer drivers and no software to download." It will allow you to print to an HP ePrint printer or to one shared on a mac or PC. AirPrint will work with iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch (third generation and later).

As some of you may know, I have a netbook computer (ASUS Eee PC 900). It ran Xandros Linux. There weren't many software downloads for Xandros and the internet ran really slow on it. I decided to wipe the solid state drive (SSD) and load Ubuntu Netbook Edition on the machine, and it was worth it. There are tons of downloads for Ubuntu, plus it had some other features that Xandros didn't. One big one that pleased me was the ability to extend the desktop across two monitors. Now, the 8.9 inch metbook is connected to a 14 inch CRT and I can drag windows from monitor to monitor. I can use this to have Google reader open on one monitor and the other can have an IM client open or the update manager. If you have an netbook or a laptop and a spare monitor lying around, I really recommend doing this. It's a huge productivity help.
I'm planning to do this on my main Windows 7 machine when I can get a hold of a DisplayLink adapter.

If you look at Google today, you'll see that the logo hates your cursor. Google has been playing around with interactive logos. One of the best was a playable version of Pac Man. Most Google logos appear for a holiday, anniversary, or some other important event. Nobody's sure about this one though. Any ideas?
